Useless Shopping
During a couple of free hours, I decided to go to a local mall to attempt in getting gift ideas. It was a mistake as finding a parking spot was much more taxing than I expected. I had nothing in mind so it was completely aimless shopping. To be honest, I don't know whether I was overwhelmed by the products in the numerous amounts of stores or just underwhelmed by the lack of fascinating and interesting gifts. It goes without saying, I didn't discover any gift ideas. Though I got share germs with plenty of strangers.
While shopping, I was surprised how segregated in-store and online shopping. Stores should definitely have more online integration. For example, you like an item but it's not in your size or not in the desire configuration/color, you should be able to scan the item and check if there is inventory online (or even in the storage of the store). This would eliminate the need for store employees to check inventory (saving time/effort) and it would the making searching online for the particular item much more accessible. So much more integration can be implemented to improve consumers' experiences...
