12/12/12

As you probably are aware, today's date is 12/12/12 (Probably from the news, Facebook, and everywhere else). I certainly have been waiting for this day since 10/11/12. Sadly, this is the last time the date will repeat like this until 01/01/01 in 2101. It's been a good twelve years but it is definitely time to end it for 82 years. I'm sure that date patterns will be similar to the 2000-2009 New Years glasses; they will never go away forever but it just won't be the same (as much as you want them to disappear, they just won't die).
But since it is 12/12/12, what better way to look back at what happened in 2012. One way is to look at Google Zeitgeist! There are definitely some false positives though. How did John Carter make top 10 in films? Dark Knight Rises anyone? But I love the annual Zeitgeist Year in Review video made by Google:
Then you have Facebook which tries to summarize their user's year in 20 posts.
My Facebook year in review includes trips to Florida and Louisville, a missing number in Dunkin Donuts, becoming friends with my doppelgänger, a status about people taking me less seriously for caring an awesome Star Wars lunch box, watching Monday Night RAW live, Chad Ochocino tweeting at me, a :-0 picture, a picture of Kin and me, and of course this video:
which was hilarious because of what occurred in How I Met you Mother.
Facebook has their own review of 2012 too. It's interesting seeing how the US differed in trends.
