90's Radio

If you're a Fort Wayner, you may noticed that 106.3 is no longer Click Hop but a 90's Rewind station. This was sweet and sour like Sour Patch Kids. While I'm a avid listener of Hip Hop and rap musc, I must say the quality of the music has been on a decline lately; just listen to the lyrics... Last year was a good year though. I expect this year to be similar to 2-3 years ago where the majority music just wasn't worth listening to. Good thing Macklemore has become mainstream to save the genre. "The greats weren't great because at birth they could paint, the greats were great cause they paint a lot"
The timing of the 90's music station couldn't have been better. At first, it was simple amazing because of the nostalgia and pure awesomeness. The jokes were fresh like "Debating who's hotter AC Slater or Zack Morris" or "Unlike your Walkman, our music won't skip". But after a week of listening to the station on my quick commute and other trips, I was tired of the same jokes; it's like watching Sportscenter in the early morning where the show just repeats. They were a decade's worth of little things to make fun of...
And the music: NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Salt-N-Peppa, TLC, Destiny's Child, Britney Spears, and some others. The music is so much more enjoyable when you don't have to hide the fact that you actually enjoy the songs (unlike in middle school). But after a month or so of listening to the station, they play songs more than once in the same day; I don't even spend much time in my car listening either. There were 10 great years of music in the decade, I don't see how the station can possible justify playing a song more than once in one day... Maybe they should let me take charge of the song selection...
Friends and family in my generation, the music we grew up have its own dedicated station; we're getting old...
They just don't make slow songs like they used to...
