Always Remember.

I felt an eery feeling as I woke up today. Today is the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on America. While every year since then it's been a day of remembrance, today was especially similar to that day. The attacks happened on that Tuesday in 2011 with very similar weather as today, beautiful and sunny. Every generation can be defined by a single (or a couple of) event(s) and our generation will be defined by the aftermath of the terrorism we faced that day.
No one will forget where and what they were doing on that Tuesday. No two people will have the same story to tell about that day, many filled with sorrow and anger. I remember being extremely worried about the country's safety in homeroom in the seventh grade. Then, the concern quickly transformed into anger due to disrespectful racist remarks made in the boys locker-room in PE. The rest of day, I (as with the rest of the nation) was seeking a sense of stability and security.
Our country and its people have become stronger and more united since that day. We cherish and value the freedom of the United States of America more than ever.
I'm proud to be an American.
