Amazon Got Better with Sunday Delivery
While it's neat that Amazon is now offering other services like Starz and Showtime (for an additional fee to Prime), that's definitely not the best thing I've learned about Amazon. Just this past weekend, I received an Amazon package on Sunday and two items I had ordered for someone else also received his packages on Sunday. The best part of all is that I didn't have to pay any additional shipping fees for Sunday delivery; I only chose the standard 2-day shipping that comes along with Amazon Prime.
This is made even more extraordinary for me because I'm expecting a couple packages delivered by non-2 day shipping off other sites (non-Amazon). Sometimes I don't understand how anyone can wait for so long (over a week) for shipping! Amazon Prime has spoiled my online shopping experience. Most times I don't even consider buying anything that's not Amazon Prime-eligible.
Will Sunday delivery become the new normal? I don't see why not particularly since it'll help eliminate brick and mortar stores' advantage. Question is whether delivery services will offer the Sunday delivery... I think they will.
