Another Weekend, Another Festival... But More!

In Fort Wayne, there are countless festivals and majority include the same aspects, music and tons of junk food. To be honest, many of them blend in and become extremely dull after your first experience.
This weekend was the Taste of the Arts. Unlike the other festivals, there is much more diversity being represented. It's not about a certain nationality but representing the arts that belong to the community. When I say art, it includes painters, photographers, music (including numerous live performances), theatre, and other forms of art. It's amazing to see a such a diverse range of art in one setting (an entire block downtown). Personally, I enjoy the more personal and intimate concert experiences much more than the overcrowded concerts with booming music that leave you ears ringing for hours. Even majority of the art museums and exhibits were free to the public today.
The food is even better than the other festivals! The usual junk food trucks that occupy the other festivals are absent from this event. And it's for the better! Much better quality food! And that comes from a junk food junkie like me! Better yet, portions of the profits from the food are donated to art in the community.
Taste of the Arts is definitely one of the most unique and entertaining events that Fort Wayne has to offer!
