Apple Watch
Last night, I walked in the local Apple Store to test drive the new Apple Watch (aka iWatch). Ten steps in, I was consumed by one of the worst body odors I've ever encountered in my over quarter century life time; keep in my sense of smell is pretty awful. I wanted to run out of that place immediately but I had a mission to complete. And the the various watch models were prominently displayed in a table with a glass layer so you can only look at them. It makes sense since one of the models is selling for over $17k; there were about five security guards "watching" over the devices.
There were six to seven watches you could actually play with, but not actually try on (you'll need to set up an appointment for that). I wasn't impressed by the watch itself as two of the watches I used were slow and laggy. The honeycomb like interface seems to "consuming" for something simple like a watch. And I wasn't very sure why the dial couldn't just be a button.
While the watch wasn't extraordinary, the display Apple created for the watch was absolutely fantastic. Here are some pictures:

As you can see, the display next to the watch synchronizes with what is on the watch. While it seems simple and innovative, not many companies market their products this well. I guess it helps owning the store and forcing a standard for all the stores.
