Eight years ago, the iPhone was introduced for the first time. I remember watching the iPhone keynote on my home Dell Dimension 8800 desktop. It was unlike any other device out in the market and I hoped it would be the device that would finally popularize touchscreen. Before that, I spoke about how touchscreen were the future but was letdown by the likes of Palm and Microsoft. Turns out, the iPhone was quintessential device to do just that.
Today we have iOS and Android phones and the two parties couldn't hate each other anymore (even though they are quite similar and becoming more similar). But eight years ago, the CEO of both companies were on the same stage to introduce the iPhone:
Just look at how thrilled both CEOs were! Times have definitely changed. Both amazing visionaries knew just how significant the iPhone would be for their companies and the world.
