Augmented Reality

While I think most people are aware of virtual reality, augmented reality seems to be lesser known. Unlike virtual reality where you are put into a fully digitalized world, augmented reality creates a digital layer on top of the real world. Each of the technologies will have it's different uses, but I think augmented reality will appeal more to most users, just because it's more "natural".

The big players in augmented reality is Microsoft's HoloLens and Meta.

As you can see, there's still quite a bit of work to do. But the possibilities are amazing.

I am pretty confident that the next version of Google Glass will have augmented reality aspects integrated in the headset. I say this particularly because of their large investment in Magic Leap.

AR and VR are going grow tremendously in the next few years. AR could possibly be something we wear all the time within the next decade, while VR will be used to create extremely immersive environments (particularly in entertainment).

How can you not be excited for VR or AR?!
