Being Noncommittal or Flaky
You've probably met someone who tends to make numerous plans or agrees to do everything that's offered to them, but never seems to follow through with them. Heck, you may be one of these types of people. Sometimes it's because of over-scheduling, other times it's just because they don't feel up to it. The worst is when they forget they committed to those plans and make other plans. These situations often lead to disappointment; all of it resulted to someone's flakiness or lack of dependability. While it's nice to have options, it's disrespectful for the people expecting you.
On the other hand, you have the group of people with inverse tendencies who avoid making any commitments at all. These individuals are extremely hard to plan with due to their indecisiveness especially if stubbornness is involved. But with a little peer pressure and persistence, you may finally get the answer you want from these personality types. Since planning already is strenuous enough alone, these indecisive people make it even more arduous, almost making it not worth the effort.
I definitely lean towards the side of being noncommittal. I've been trying to increase my decisiveness while still remaining to dependable and true to my word. It makes life simpler for me and those around me.
