Being Proactive

It's come to my attention that one of my better qualities is that I am extremely proactive. At work, I seem to have built up the reputation of being able to complete tasks quickly and effectively; it's more of an uncommon trait than common. In family matters, I was much more reliable than my brother in getting errands done for my parents. In my personal relationships with friends, I like to think I'm the one people can rely on.
I've met tons of the people that don't seem to have the same amount of drive to get stuff done but I met others that have outstanding personalities to get stuff done. Growing up, my brother was an extreme procrastinator; while it almost always resulted positively, it was annoying how much reminding/demanding it would take for him to actually get it done. Recognizing this annoyance, I had unconsciously avoided putting the same frustration on others by being expeditious.
That's not the only reason I tend to be proactive. The feeling of getting something done promptly is spectacular (instead of looming out there in the future over your head). For those busy times, setting priorities is critical; luckily, this comes so naturally for me (no lists usually for me!). The feeling of delivering results successfully and swiftly is addicting; not a bad addiction to have...
