Being T-Rayn
Hello Everyone,
With the collaboration with Scott, author of Bedtime Stories for my Saber Tooth Tiger, we will be both writing a special series of posts every other week (Notice: Scott writes his posts in the evening (Explained by the title Bedtime Stories)). This series will be called Being ______. This was inspired by the movie Being John Malkovich and the popularity of blogs. So, Scott and I will be writing separate blog posts on being a certain person for a day (So you get two perspectives!). We will explore the minds of others and explore our own creativity! We will try to keep identities anonymous but it may be impossible to keep identities safe. I hope everyone enjoys it!

Being T-Rayn
I wake up to the alarm at six o'clock. I really don't want to go to work today, it's not Saturday or Sunday. It's Monday morning and I have to give myself a gift everyday; it's my little secret that I tell everyone all the time.
"I'm gonna let you in on a little secret.
Every day, once a day, give yourself a present.
Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen."
It is something I live by. I still don't believe everyone I hang out follow by it though, so I must remind them at least ten times today. I think the twenty times I reminded them yesterday wasn't enough to convince them! I don't feel like moving so I'll lie in my bed until seven. Then, I'll go about my day in my usual slow and casual manner with my signature walking style.
Oh yeah...I just remembered it's Monday! My first gift of the day will be Mad Monday. Time for a shower to clear all of my sinuses. Then, I part my beautiful hair perfectly and stare at myself in the mirror just admiring how sexy I am. Oh man! It's eight o'clock already, I need to put on my Pumas. Oh well, I might as well take my time and get another gift for myself, Dunkin Donuts (Sweet Sweet Coffee). It's not close to New York bagels but it's as good it gets in Fort Wayne. I'll even get a Boston Creme for my best bud, Bo. I have the Infamous Stringdusters playing on my wonderful Mazda6 speakers as I head to work. I'm going to get a new Mazda6 with the new engine next year and it's going to be just great! The angry eyes would look so much better!
It's nine now, should be a long day at work (Good thing I have a windshield sunblocker to keep the heat out). But thankfully, my nemesis (Let's name her Emma for confidentiality sake) is not here anymore to destroy me in everything. But I have to admit, I do miss her. TW seems to want to be my nemesis but I know he would have no mercy and destroy me instantly.
Oh man, it's 12:08, I got to go to lunch; but first, I have to use the bathroom and wash my hands. I wonder if 2.0 wants to go to Chipotle to me; I have to defend my mayorship. Nope, not going to happen, 2.0 is eating already; I will have to resort to eating cafeteria food. That puts me at twelve dollars of my twenty dollar budget for the day. But good thing it is half price beers at Mad Mondays. The best!
The work day is over but I should probably work more. Bo is calling me as usual around this time, six o'clock. Of course he wants me to eat dinner with him, I haven't eaten at home for months. But how can I refuse his invitation for dinner possibility with Scott and Leeroy? It really isn't an invite since he never knows where he wants to eat. I'll suggest Zianos knowing it only has a one percent he'll agree. But with Mad Monday tonight, I could just eat there. I love Mad Mondays. I pick Twhuang from his apartment (I told him I'll be there in five minutes but in reality it was more like 15 minutes). While heading to Mad Mondays, I put Hoodie Allen's All-American album on. Who doesn't love Hoodie Allen?! I sing the following part of "No Faith In Brooklyn" perfectly with the voice of an angel without autotune:
"I said repetition-repe-repetition like a muscle man
You just wanna tie me up, snap me like a rubber band
It's 2012 so now they wanna ask me what's the plan
I tell 'em never trust a man unless he Russell Brands
Pass me on that Absinthe now watch me change my accent
I got girls in the back on a mattress
You got girls on the map like that's it
They wanna know, am I... Some _ names"
As always, Bo is slightly scared by my aggressive New York driving and my last second braking stops and I love his reaction (It's priceless). We finally arrive at Mad Anthony's on time; we're about a half hour late. Damn my Windows Mobile phone! I can't check-in on Foursquare! But everyone knows that Windows Mobile is superior to iOS and Android; it is just so intuitive! It's similar to how everyone knows that BP gas is superior to any other gas. It's the only gas I get!
It's Mad Monday! Great conversation and tasty beer is to be had all night. As with most days, Marv asks everyone to play volleyball on Sunday. As always, I decline. Everyone in this group is so active, new Tom has to come back soon! I'm so jealous of Bo, he's so athletic and naturally good at everything he does. Bo makes a comment/joke on how he wants to look as good as me; I know he's telling the truth because who wouldn't want to be as handsome as me? And of course, Bo shamelessly plugs www.MatthewTWHuang.com. While it has awesome content, the grammar is horrendous (For some odd reason, it is as terrible as this post).
I look at my gorgeous watch, it's about closing time so I shout "Let's blow this Popsicle stand!". Another great Mad Monday and time just flew by! Having Bo company for the ride home is amazing. He really knows how to hold up a conversation and has such a wonderful sense of humor. I drop him off and drive home listening to One Republic. "Angel of Mercy, how did you find me?..."
When I lay down on my bed, I look at what the week ahead looks like. I'm filled with happiness because of the amazing friends I have around me (Fort Wayne gets better every day!). I have Whopper Wednesday, Dash-In Thursday (Who am I kidding, everyday! All social hours here is genius!), maybe porch drinking, and Purple Shirt Thursday at work. And maybe midnight movie? Maybe Mr. and Mrs. Smith will finally use their fire-pit this weekend!
P.S. I have to call KT and Lizzay to see when they will be visiting my new apartment; I really miss them (Love you if you are reading this!). This new apartment was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I can't wait use the bird call to communicate with the three amigos across the complex.
A-di-os!
