Black Out

As I write this, many websites will be going down or going to inform of their visitors of the acts that Congress is trying to pass. This acts include SOPA (Stop Online Privacy Act) and the lesser known act in the Senate, PIPA (Protect IP Act). This includes Google using their sites to inform their users of their opposition to the acts. Reddit will be going down for 12 hours. Then, you have Wikipedia, one of the most visited sites, going to black out all of their articles and displaying the image posted above for the entire day. Other major internet power houses including Facebook, Twitter, and BoingBoing are actively speaking against these acts.
So, I am strongly encouraging everyone to read about SOPA and PIPA (Especially because there's nothing else to read on Wikipedia). With this information, tell your official representatives you oppose these acts (If/hopefully you oppose them too). And with all things right, hopefully these acts all not get passed and the internet will not be crippled. The internet that we have been accustomed, free and open, will continue to exist. The internet was become too powerful and important to let be restricted.
