Body Check

I had my first physical at a family doctor since the one required before entering college (which my parents would call my "baby doctor" in a chinese accent). I know I probably should have it more routinely checked but it's so inconvenient that they are only open during the hours majority people work. But that's not a valid excuse for me since I have a flexible work schedule. No one wants to told that you may have an incurable illness. Going into the appointment, I prepare myself for the worst, premature death; I haven't lived the life I wanted!
Since it was my first time at the particular doctor, I had to fill out tedious paper work and deal with insurance. Then, I patiently wait for the nurse that will measure my weight, height, blood pressure, temperature; I'm inclined to ask them to guess my weight but I never do (like in amusement parks). Then, the nurse asked me all the questions I answered in the questionnaire I filled out beforehand; it leads me to think that they either 1. don't believe me or 2. use it as busy work like in school when there's a substitute teacher. "No, I don't have a family history of anything. No, I'm not taking any medications. No, I don't have allergies. No, I don't smoke. Yes, I drink."
Then, it's more waiting for the doctor to come in to ask more questions you've already answered. But there's more! The deep breaths, normals breaths (I hope this is my normal breathing), swallow, knock on the knees, feel of the shin, and of course the look in the ears! I just realized that this doctor didn't even watch my ears! I missed my favorite part!
Good News Everybody! I'm in good health! Blood pressure of 118/58, 97.5 degrees Fahrenheit, weighing at healthy 147 pounds. I guess you could call me cool; though I was told to look out for Compartment Syndrome.
It's odd that I've gained weight the past few years but yet I haven't gained an inch in my waist. I'm still a 30x30 using the same notch on my belts. Isn't that the best aspect of a belt? The belt gives you some leeway to gain weight but you'll know when you're putting on a gut; I'm sure being on the last notch is a sure-fire method of motivation to get back into shape. I guess I'm just getting denser.
