Bowling

As you may be aware already, I truly enjoy bowling. And in the winter cold, I probably bowl more often since tennis is not really an option with its high court fees. It's just a soothing activity especially when it's just me; Nothing like a period of time between a bowler and his ball.
While I consider bowling a solo sport just like golf, it can be played in groups. What I don't understand about bowling in groups is pricing when paying by the hour. Why does it cost four times as much for four people to bowl for two hours compared to a single bowler bowling two hours? I can understand forcing to pay for shoe rental for each individual but I can't comprehend why forcing everyone to pay for the time. I guess it's how they make their profits. It's an ingenious scheme to profit off large groups. I guess it helps keep solo and small group bowling at a low price! (And usually buying by the game isn't a good value it unless there's a deal)
To be honest, bowling with more than three players on a lane is terrible since it's too difficult to find rhythm. But waiting isn't the worst thing about bowling in groups, it's even more dreadful when players don't play competitively even if it's for fun. You play to win the game!
I guess I may have turned into a bowling snob. Though, I haven't reached the point of toweling often.
One of most important aspect is the bowling name. What's your name?

Another reason bowling in groups is terrible, they don't input your bowling name.
