"Boyfriend Tracker"

You may have heard about the Android application, "Rastreador de Namorados" (Portuguese for Boyfriend Tracker) (AP Article here). For short attention spans, it's an app that someone may install on another person's phone to track that person's every single action on their phone including recording of their phones, texts sent/received, location, and everything above (the app's site translated). And for $2 you could install the application on the phone with a hidden icon so the person can't see that the application was installed.
While the application has been removed on the Google Play Store, it is still available for download on their site. This takes stalking to an entirely new direction especially because of the ease of installation. Before this, I've only heard about location trackers that didn't including listening to phone calls and the other "features" this application contains.
It's difficult to see where this application will be used respectfully. Maybe it would be useful if you installed it on your own phone so you could record all the actions on own phone. I guess that if you have the permission of the other person (whether it be your significant other/children), it wouldn't be an invasion of privacy but I doubt that would be the case for those interested in this application; I definitely wouldn't want to be in such relationship.
I'm absolutely disgusted by the creators of the application has marketed the app like they have. Now it's just one more thing to worry about all the time.
