Windows 10 looks great in appearance but we'll have to see how the average user reacts to it upon release.
The next Microsoft web browser is officially called Microsoft Edge... Personally Spartan would have been cooler.
Cortana, Microsoft's voice assistant, seems to have come to be one of the best aspects of the Windows platform, certainly surpassing Siri. Apple hasn't done much with Siri in a while; I haven't ever been impressed by it. Siri has some catching up to Google and Cortana.
There is no doubt that Microsoft is trying to win developers back to their platform by providing the means to port iOS and Android apps to Windows 10 and Firefox and Chrome extensions to Microsoft Edge. Will developers experiment with the porting of their applications and test the Windows market? It's going to be a hard sell with such little Windows Mobile users, but if it's simple and effortless, why not try. We'll have to see how much effort maintenence of the applications is involved.
In other Microsoft news Hololens looks amazing. To be released in the fall but with no price point.
Microsoft may actually be on the right track.
