Caffeine, Coffee, Soda, Oh My!

It's 7:30 in the morning, I've been at work for a few minutes. I wait for my Windows XP OS to start up, it's slow. I, then, hear the sound of the first can of soda being opened a couple cubes away. To many people this may seem unappealing but I have become accustomed to hearing such activity. It's the fix of caffeine that this person probably needs in the morning similarly to many other people. But in this case, it's just a bit more sugar in the drink.
America runs on Dunkin, uhhhhhh, I mean caffeine. I should say "America runs on Dunkin" like it's my job because it kind of was (It really was! My acting breakthrough!). Every morning, pots after pots of coffee is made in the office. It's no longer the water cooler where people hangout, it's the coffee maker. Some people have had it enough of plain coffee and resorted to a Keurig in their office. And at another office, I've seen people making premium coffee by manually crushing coffee beans and such. For those who need the energy boost and hate the terrible taste of coffee, tea and soda is enough the popular alternatives. So between the sounds of sipping hot coffee/tea and soda can/bottles opening, the office is never a quiet place!
Could the office run without caffeine? I don't know. But I do know, the office would be a slower and probably less productive place without it. Zombies will be roaming around the office without it. But you will always have those few souls that are an array of energy without having a drop of caffeine. Like me, Mr. All-Day, I run on energy from the sun and food I eat. Yes, I'm 100% free of caffeine in the mornings. I'm all na-tu-ral. I love drinking water to wake up.
But I have to admit; it looks so cool to just walk around the office with a mug (like you are important and have something to do, like pointy-haired boss in Dilbert). I see someone holding an energy drink and a mug at the same time daily. It's always an amazing sight!
