Chill

As we come closer and closer to the middle of the winter, the temperatures continue to drop. And since we're not polar bears, we must adapt to the environment in different ways. Polar bears reduce their metabolic rate and recycle proteins when food is scarce and maintain their necessary body temperatures; having all that fat and fur helps too. And only if we looked as cute and awesome as polar bears... So how can people keep warm doing the cold winter?
Well, you could just move to a warmer place similarly to birds; you could even fly there! If moving down to the dirty south isn't for you, you could go back to college! With higher education costs increasing, I hope that the heat in those academic buildings are being heated. You could even pay for living on campus where heating is included in the overly priced dorms/apartments.
If those options are too expensive, you could go to work! Most work environments are heated to a comfortable temperature to provide the most efficient work conditions, for those who don't know what work is. In my case, my cube is freezing! My routine, the past few days, has been: freeze walking to the work facility, defrost walking to my office, refreeze in my cube (with sporadic spurts of warmth when walking somewhere). I guess you could be smart and put in a work order for that problem (which I did). This may be the best opportunity to kill two birds with one stone (what a violent saying), stay warm and improve your work performance.
Maybe school and work just isn't for you. Becoming a outdoorsman (or woman) and creating a fire to keep warm is always an option. You could try to become Canadian and just adapt to the low temperatures and live with it but be careful not to become scared of the dark. Maybe you can travel to Mercury so you don't have to deal with everyone complain about how hot it is; I would say go to Venus but it's hotter (too hot) there. Maybe you're more extroverted and actually enjoy people's company, you could cuddle with other people just like the cute huskies pictured above.
For me, I'll just turn up the heat and maybe wear more layers. My 5.5 year old Macbook Pro does a great job of heating up too, my personal space heater! I'm sure you can create a simple circuit connected to a power source to provide heat (may or may not lead to explosions/burning/sparks/fire).
