Clearwater, FL

After two days of vacationing by doing as many things as time would allow us to do, we relaxed all day today. The day began at Dunkin Donuts just like it does on normal weekends. Then we were off to Clearwater, FL which was only about a two hour drive from Orlando.
Upon arrival, we immediately walked to the beach; this was Scott's first encounter with a real beach (not talking about that wimpy Lake Michigan "beach"). It was nice to unwind by lying on beach immersed by the warm weather with the sun shining bright. The sand was much whiter than the beaches in the Northeast; it took some time to trust white sand.
One thing I did noticed was a family trip to the beach is an ordeal. The kids complaining all the time, the packing of food to avoid the high cost, and trying to clean all the sand before heading out (which everyone knows is impossible). As I mentioned in a previous post, the pain of family beach trips probably resulted in my strong dislike of beaches growing up.
It was a great day in Clearwater with such beautiful scenery!
