Cornhole
You know that game at football tailgates where they throw bean bags at a board with a hole on it?

Well, it's called cornhole! Some call it just "bags". It's the game with many names. While not big in the Northwest, it is quite common in the Midwest; you'll probably see it played at most outside events. It's not surprise the game of "cornhole" is more popular in the Midwest though, but there's more than corn in Indiana. But I did see it at a bar in Maine a few years ago, but no one knew how the scoring worked until I arrived.
It's a simple game. 1 point for a bag on board; 3 for putting the bag in the hole. 2 teams; 4 bags per team per turn. Each turn is scored: team with the higher score-team with the lower score. First to exactly 21. If a team goes over, their score is reset to 11 (or 13 or 15, depending on the house rules).
Speaking of yard games, I want to learn how to play croquet and bocce! I wish badminton was more played more often too so I could show my dominance.
