Corporate Challenge!
IT HAS BEGUN!
The Fort Wayne YMCA Corporate Challenge! It's Raytheon taking on the world! Well, Fort Wayne companies... But Raytheon has two teams, grey and red. Everyone knows that the Red Team is going to win it all! (Not just because I'm on the Red team but it always helps)
This week is all about Kickball. The Red Team went 1-0 last week without me. And with the first game of the day against the Grey Raytheon team, I was pumped! Hopefully it'll be one of many encounters with the other Ray Ray team. It was a close game though; it went into extra innings with Marv kicking in the game-winning run!
Then next game was also very close but the Red Raytheon Team's push in the fifth and last inning came just short, losing 2-3. While this game was in progress, the Grey Raytheon Team was dominating the Blue Team, which was our next opponent. The Red Team responded to the loss very well and came out kicking to a victory!
So with the 4-1 record, the Red Team is going to the playoffs tomorrow! Funny thing is no one on the team had any knowledge about the existence of a playoff; but we'll be ready to kick it! Update to come tomorrow!
P.S. The kickball rules are odd. The pitcher is on the same as the kicker... But it is what it is... It's been a great day! Work, Kickball, WW, and now the start of the NFL and Fantasy Football season!
