Credit Card Transition
Within the past year, I receive my credit card that encompasses the traditional magnetic strip and also the Smart Chip. If you haven't seen the chip it looks like:

And it goes into the payment like:

Advice: Don't be a foolish newbie and scan it like hotel card (Quickly In and Out); You have to leave it in the machine until approved.
These chips will be coming to one of your credit cards soon as credit card companies are transitioning to them in the upcoming years. The transition has already become slightly annoying in my daily life with the credit card with the chip. You would think that paying with the magnetic strip AND chip would work. But that is the not the case, some places recognize that there is a smart chip on the car and refuses to take the magnetic strip. I guess this enforces the use of the chip but it slightly inconvenient.
And yes, that Citi Forward card in the picture is a VISA Signature card. The benefits? Concierge, Auto rental collision damage waiver, and deals on travel and shopping.
Update: Some places don't even have the chip reading feature activated on their machines...
