Do You Have the Wiffles?

The Wafflers take the field

And it has begun! (Mortal Kombat style)
The annual Raytheon Wiffleball tournament got underway yesterday. The top-seeded Wafflers started their journey to the cup today against the Armadillos. The Wafflers definitely looked great yesterday during their open to the public practice after a hard day's work. They were hitting the ball dead on where they wanted all afternoon. After practice, the team was pretty confident in their ability to take on the Armadillos.

The young Wafflers team looked amazing as usual; good thing there was a photographer to take a beautiful team photo! After a victorious coin flip for the Wafflers, the game begin. I was selected (more like chose) to be the starting pitcher for the Wafflers. It was a tough first inning for me as I gave up two runs. This was just the start of the terrible things to come for me. I gave up three more runs in the fourth. This led to the 1-5 loss for the Wafflers to the Armadillos. The loss may have been due to the lack of experience on the field with only two players having actual game experience (Not to mention the team's first (and maybe only) season). The Armadillos had more much more experience with the team going on their 3rd (maybe 4th) season together as a team.
With the game in the books, the Wafflers look to avoid elimination against the experienced Grimm's Reaper. If history repeats, the Wafflers will take the game since last year the first season, Young Bloods, defeated the Grimm's Reaper after losing their first ever game. But there were some positives in today's game. Scott hit a solo home-run in the second inning (Probably thanks to drinking a Scotty Karate! And this is not even mentioning the relief pitching he did for me! (As pictured above with me smiling of course!) What a versatile player!). The catcher may have been the MVP of the team in today's game.
Because of my natural personality, I will take this loss to heart especially because I was the pitcher that let all those runs score. But there is good news, the strategy of the Wafflers have been updated for victory! (This cannot be disclosed due to potential scouters for Grimm's Reaper)
Today's game was only a small obstacle for the Wafflers' quest to the championship!
