Doppelgänger or Racist (Not Really) Android

Today I either met my doppelgänger or Android Ice Cream Sandwich is racist (Not really racist). Let me try to explain. There is a person who can be easily mistaken for myself from far away. Both of being Asian, most important. Well, I met him at a wonderful dinner at a friend's place tonight. Immediately upon arrival, he wanted to test the new face unlocking feature on his Galaxy Nexus (He knew he looked similar to me). I take off my glasses and he activates the face detection screen and lo and behold, the phone unlocks! And to make sure it wasn't a mistake, we tested it again and once again it unlocked.
Then, more tests were done. It didn't unlock the phone if I had my glasses on. But it did unlock when he wore my glasses. It's pretty interesting that it did this. Google's algorithm may not be just facial structure but also includes accessories. Maybe it seeks facial properties and positions them based on where the accessories like my glasses are. Could this be a test to ultimately answer "Do I really look like (Insert famous name here)?"? Could a picture of Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan unlock the phone if I used face detection? Could a picture even be used? I would certainly be interested, I would love to continue the testing once I get a phone with Ice Cream Sandwich.
So have I met my doppelgänger or does Android Ice Cream Sandwich think Asians look really similar? Maybe in the future I could post a picture of him, with his permission of course, and have a survey.
