Early tonight, Elon Musk and his SpaceX team announced the Dragon V2.
Unlike most presentations from technology companies like Google and Apple, the SpaceX presentation wasn't polished and practiced to the second; it was in a more intimate setting. This is certainly because SpaceX isn't for consumers to purchase but something that most people can get excited about. And Elon Musk isn't an ideal speaker but he certainly knows what he is talking about. As the founder (or co-founder) of major companies like Zip2, PayPal, SpaceX, and Tesla, Elon Musk has created an astonishing reputation known around the world.
But it's amazing how many different industries he has impacted. While he isn't as an excellent speaker, he makes up with his technical knowledge and method of thinking; it shows you can be succeed without being a quintessential spokesperson (though it certainly helps!). I've been impressed by the readings and videos I've read/seen about him.
