East Lansing, Michigan

I woke up today expecting a relaxing day in Fort Wayne ahead for me. I started off the day with a nice hot shower and a wonderful trip to good old Dunkin Donuts. I planned on signing my lease for my new apartment but I was interrupted by friends going to Michigan State University.
So I signed the lease with cookies and football in hand. Then, I was convinced to attend the tailgate in East Lansing, MI. It wasn't very difficult to sway me since I didn't have any plans and it would be a good way to see my cousin who attends the university. And it's great having friends that are willing to convince me to do things that I wouldn't normally do; going outside of my routine is always nice.
The campus of MSU is much nicer than I expected and it was quite large. It's odd how people tailgate right outside tennis courts (but I was surprised how respectful they were with the courts). And it's "normal" to just throw cans anywhere on the ground since people routinely pick them up for the deposit. It's astounding how quickly cans get picked up too. I had a great time! I went undefeated in cornhole and learned that Marv throws a football much better than the New Yorker. Also, Marv may have been swept off her feet by Captain Kirk at the last possible second. Only time will tell on that situation.
Notre Dame looked good out there. Even though it probably a sad loss, it was great seeing all that green and white from the Spartans though; I was impressed by the school spirit. I can only imagine how much more advantageous it would have been to have the football stadium on campus in Storrs, CT at UConn rather than East Hartford...
Good news though, I have started the move to the new apartment tonight. It's going to be a slow and drawn out process. Woot!
