Eating

Eating. A necessity in everyone's life; I personally do it four or more times a day. I like to do it fast too since my parents always told me to growing up (I'm probably the slowest eater in my family). And with short periods for lunch time at school, it was a useful skill to have. If you seen me eat, you know I like to take oversized mouthfuls of food, taking full advantage of the ability of cheek expansion (think of a squirrel or chipmunk). I always eat sushi in one bite even if it is massive pieces.
One habit I've been meaning to change is the eliminate the need to switch hands between the knife and fork when cutting something like a steak. It's pretty irritating doing so. I have never been a fan of precutting everything before taking a bite; this is mostly for two reasons: 1. I'm too hungry to wait 2. It just doesn't seem "fancy" enough. I'm so fancy that I lift my pinky finger up when drinking and I eat Snickers bars with a fork and knife. So to answer Drake's question, yes I am.
Then there are certain foods that take "style" to eat. Like celery or carrots , there is no other to eat it besides pretending to be Bugs Bunny! What's up Doc? For bananas, there only one correct way and that's pinching the bottom. For Ferrero Rocher chocolates, I like to carefully eat the top layer off then demolish the core with my teeth. I seem to have some habit of carefully eating levels off of foods if they have levels (e.g. Jolly Rancher popsicles). If I were to resemble any animal, I would say it would have to be a groundhog especially because of the two gigantic front teeth. I must admit I do often mimic the head movement of a groundhog (side to side) and sometimes pretend to be the animal when using a straw to sip water. This is not nearly as embarrassing a friend (to remain nameless for his/her reputation sake) who pretends that canned Mandarin oranges are goldfishes; when he/she told me this I could only imagine him/her eating them like a bear and just dropping them in his/her mouth then biting down on them viciously with head movement.
And does anyone know how to eat an ice cream cone "correctly"? I've was once told I was doing it wrong so I've been self conscious ever since! Do you lick it like a Tootsie pop and try to get to the center?
