Every Year Degrade
Every year, Samsung announces a new Galaxy S device. Today was that day. The S5 has been announced and my phone is once again obsolete. The improvements include the typical fast processor, better camera, and bigger display. But it also includes a heart rate sensor and finger print reader. It's also water/dust resistant with less plastic-y feel! Well, from the looks of it...
I should be used to the feeling of having antiquated hardware as I am currently still using my old Macbook Pro. What is the key to success? It has to be the Invisible Shield. After viewing the company's website, it doesn't seem like they sell their plastic protectors for laptops anymore. Here is the picture of my laptop (currently on the best site on the Internet):

Not too bad... It definitely has worn down a bit just like the "S" and "D" keys. But look at the bottom of the laptop:

Wow... Look at the discoloration in the areas that are exposed to the highest temperatures! Or the peeling of the pieces! What a sight... Maybe I should take advantage of the lifetime warranty...
What to upgrade... My phone or my laptop? OR both... It is tax return season! So it's acceptable to spend my tax refund on something luxurious!
In other news, Netflix has just made a move against net neutrality by paying Comcast for faster access for Comcast customers. What will happen to other services with the precedence that Netflix has set? What will happen if Comcast buys Time Warner?
