ExploRIng and Growing

It's been several months since I moved back to RI and I must say I've seen more of RI in that time than the first 18 years of my life as a Rhode Islander. There have been many firsts including completing the Cliff Walk, going to Block Island, riding my bike on the East Bay Path, countless hiking trails, and delicious restaurants. Here's an album of some of the photos I've taken.
Sometimes I get in the mindset that I should explore the area like I do when I travel. There are so many things around me that I have yet to see or do.
There are times where I have seen myself resort to my lone-wolf high school self who stayed at home majority of the time. Being self-aware, I make it a habit of trying to get out of my comfort zone; slowly becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable. This includes getting out of my house more often, but also changing other habits like reading more often. There is not doubt that this is one of the reasons I'm working on Coop. As such, I wrote about how we shouldn't settle for what we have all the time and we should do things so we don't end up regretting.
I have been spending a good amount of time thinking about how we can improve our lives by being true ourselves. We shouldn't blindly follow what others do or what we are expected of. The better path is to do what is most interesting to you. It's not always going to be the easiest path, but it'll be the most gratifying. Much of what I have written on how to go about doing this is on the Coop Blog. My goal for the blog is to have actionable advice for those wanting to "Fly the Coop!" even if it is not using Coop itself.
