First Class Flying
I'm sitting on my first ever first class flight. And I'm finding it very underwhelming. Is it nice to have a drink in my hand before the plane is fully boarded? Sure.
But it's awkward because you wait for economy class to finishing boarding. I wonder if those eyes that stare while they are boarding are judgement... I just want to tell them I got upgraded! (wait... That doesn't sound much better...)
For the long 45 minute flight to Philly, I have a wider seat and more leg room in the main cabin. To be honest, I don't utilize much of the extra space (as much as I try) and the comfort of the seat does not seem to improved.
I definitely wouldn't pay for a upgrade on a domestic flight (at least on US Airways). But I guess I won't turn it down if they upgrade me for free.
Update: Sleeping in first class feels the same as sleeping in the main cabin, uncomfortable. Just the flight attendant comes around for drinks more often.
