First Tree

Today, I experienced my first memorable Christmas tree shopping. I say memorable because I want to say I went tree shopping with my parents at a very young age. This tradition never lasted in my family since they bought a fake tree. Though, I really enjoyed decorating the fake tree with lights, streamers, and generic ornaments! I went with The New Yorker to purchase his Christmas tree at an undisclosed location.
So, the first and most difficult step was to find the perfect tree. Various aspects that had to be taken account for included getting the tallest tree possible that could fit in the car and his apartment. No measurements were taken because that's what professional tree shoppers do (or don't do). And take note, there are various kinds of trees (Douglas-Fir, Fraser Fir, etc); it's so odd that trees have become just such big business just to have displayed for a month. And remember the trees that are precut and leaning on a fence will "fluff" into shape once it is free standing.
After finding the perfect green tree, they literally shook the tree clean. Then they had a crazy machine to tie the tree and fresh cut the tree with an old fashioned saw.

AAAAUUUPPPP, the tree didn't fit in the car all the way...
But it fit perfectly in his apartment. Did you know you have to water the tree? This wasn't very obvious to me for some reason...

The New Yorker decorated the tree to perfection and the tree "fluffed" up just has The New Yorker said! And here is the beautiful work of art!

And all this work is for what? A beautiful Christmas tree that most won't see in person, but for all my blog readers to see (forever)! Let's thank The New Yorker for all he has given us!
