FUNdraising
The latest fundraising craze was the Ice Bucket Challenge. UConn and many other college have dance marathons like HuskyTHON. In elementary school, there were penny drives against cancer and jump rope drives for the American Heart Association. The past few years, raising money for charity through "fun" runs have increased in popularity. Before that, starving for 24 hours was a frequent method to raising money.
Today, a good friend from UConn is raising money by playing video games for 24 hours. Before you judge how easy it is, think about the last time your mind had been simulated for extended periods of time, whether it's hour after hours of Netflix watch or a 5 hour session of Pokemon. It's extremely demanding to be mentally prepared for such a task. I don't think I've played more than 20 hours in a day throughout my gaming life. I can't even imagine how I would feel after 24 hours...
