Golf's Next Step
What's the best way to improve in a sport? Well, the answer is simple. Get new equipment. That'll definitely improve your game but it has to be more expensive and have new and improved technology. There is no better method of increasing confidence and optimism of your game than to get new equipment (even if it's used and new to you).

How did I get my start in golf? Well, my brother gave me a set of clubs that he received from a friend. Getting hand-me-downs is probably one of the easiest ways to start a hobby as you don't have to expend effort and time researching what to get.
Pro Tip: Ask for hand-me-downs when starting a hobby.
The clubs I received were "Senior" flex so they have more "give" to them. They were definitely a good starting point for golf and provided me an option to learn and see if I want to continue playing the sport.
After rounds and rounds of golfs, I realized that the irons were just had too much "give" and I needed more rigid staffs as it would provide a better feeling and accuracy. So the opportunity presented itself when some irons went on sale at The Sports Authority. I got an amazing deal: 15% on a "big item", then 20% of the entire purchase, free shipping, and to top it off, I used discounted gift cards that I bought for 17.5% off. Woot!
Later that night, I decided I needed a new bag and I might as well go all in. Golf is definitely not a cheap sport...
Here are the results:

And I must say, I was right about getting a better "feel" of my short with these stiffer irons; I definitely felt the difference at the driving range today. Though, I was having a difficult time hitting the 4 Iron...
I should probably replace my putter and "Sand Club"...

Anyone have any suggestions?
