Google's Pony Express
Re/Code wrote an article on a project Google is currently developing to simplify online billing. Simply said, Pony Express is a service Google will partner up with other companies to provide electronic bills to their customers (through Gmail/Google Inbox) and let them pay their bills using the same service. This service is to be released at the end of the year.
When I read this, I instantly thought the expansion and integration of Google Wallet with this service. I think the Re/Code article is incorrect in saying that Google Wallet does not have bank account hookups as I use my bank account to supply money to Google Wallet (and deposit Google Wallet into the bank account) (Update: The Re/Code article has been corrected for this). Of course, this is the method used to send/receive money through Gmail; it only makes sense for Google to integrate this new billing service, Pony Express, with Google Wallet. If it does become an independent service, it would be another confusing Google product to the consumer that won't be marketed very well.
