Halloween Candy
Every year since moving to Fort Wayne, I've been hesitant about whether I should buy Halloween candy for trick or treaters. I live in an apartment complex so that makes it even more complicated situation as to children, it may seem to be a candy goldmine since households are so densely populated. The other thought is that no children will come around for candy since not many families live in this apartment complex. Previous years, I went with one bag of assorted candy just in case. One time my parents ran out of candy early one year so some mischief kids egged our house! I did not want that to occur to my apartment but I took the chance of that this year by not buying candy to pass out. But when I'm older and have an opportunity to be in a trick and treating neighborhood, I'll be "That House" that passes out the best candy!
But of course, tomorrow, I will definitely be purchasing some heavily discounted Halloween candy for my personal pleasure.
It's a terrible night for trick and treating for Fort Wayners; cool and heavy rains. I remember years where my parents wanted to prevent us from going door to door in rain. But they couldn't obstruct us from the goods! We had to increase the candy supply that would only last a week of so, no matter how much we got (well, the Almond Joys would remain). The costumes I had were never intricate especially as a ninja. I feel the costume industry has definitely picked up their game in recent years with some believable getups.
You know that awkward moment in a teen's life where you don't know when to stop treat or treating? Some places have placed an age limit (12) to treat or treat to avoid that entire dilemma. But honestly, what moment as a teenager isn't awkward?
