Hand Dryers

Anyone over the age of 5 probably had to deal with the hand dryers shown above. You press a button and receive bacon:

But to be honest, the hand dryer wasn't great; it took a while to blow out warm air. And by the time the air was warm, it would time out and turn off. And the air pressure was mediocre.
Now a days, there are more powerful hand dryers, namely the Dyson and Xlerator. I hate the Dyson hand dryer because the finger tips never dry completely. Also, people don't seem to have enough patience for the dryers.
There other day, I saw this hand dryer:

It's the "Slim" model of the World Dryer. The addiction to making everything slimmer and thinner has created a troublesome hand dryer. Since the dryer is slimmer, the air flow is closer to the wall... Meaning the wet hands have to be closer to the wall. In this case, it was hard to dry my hands without scrapping the wall a bit. I guess they could have directed the air flow outwards, but that would mean it would splash the water back at the user.
The air dryers at a Canadian highway service centers were unbranded...

You can clearly see it is a Xlerator... I would say Xlerators are probably my favorite hand dryers currently.
There is one design aspect that made the old World Dryers superior to hand dryers in the market today: The swivel nozzle. It allowed easy access to dry shirts that have been washed due to a stain or blow your hair dry.
