Happy Spring!

At last! Today is the first day of Spring! So Happy Vernal Equinox to you if your in the northern hemisphere! Happy Autumnal Equinox to the folks down south! This morning, I was welcomed by the season with 25 degree (Fahrenheit) and the possibility of snow showers. I'm not sure which was more disappointing, the chance of snow in Spring or Jurassic Park III. But I do know that Spring has been teasing me similarly to how gas prices teases the $4 line; gets so close you can feel it but never crosses the line.
But there is so much to look forward to and without winter, we wouldn't have anything to yearn for. I'm going to enjoy playing tennis, running in the warm rain, taking a comfortable walk catching some vitamin D, and of course the fresh air everywhere (unless the neighbors under us are outside smoking). The flowers and leaves will start to grow. Oh yes, how can I forget about corn! I can't wait to see the acres upon acres of corn here in Indiana (seriously, I loving running and starting at corn). Some of the greatest events of the year start, music festivals (Coachella, anyone?), the quest for the Triple Crown (Kentucky Derby soon!), tennis grandslams, and of course Basque Pelota!

I will joyfully embrace the Spring once it arrives here in Fort Wayne, IN and what it will bring; or more importantly, what it liberates me from doing (like scrapping ice off Electra, putting on extra layers, putting on lotion to prevent bleeding from dryness, etc.)
