Hyde Bros Books

Sometimes you hear about people have traveled the entire globe. But many of those people don't know much about their own town. It's also interesting how someone can become so comfortable with their regular routine and go to the same old place to do the same old things (though this can be just what you need sometimes, a place where they know your name and all the problems are the same). But you probably don't have to go too far to find something you haven't experienced before. Only a few miles from my apartment, we visited an area we have never been before.
While I've past this part of town on multiple occasions on the way to downtown Fort Wayne, I never noticed the actual stores. Turns out there is quite the sights of hole-in-the-wall stores around. I love these stores because they usually have items that you just can't find at a large retailer. We found this great used book store, Hyde Brothers, Booksellers. While the storefront is small, the place is filled by books from the ground to the ceiling (Literally at times). There are so many topics that I wouldn't have even thought of; it reminds me how much this world has to offer. And there is even a cat named Smokey!

Here are some pictures:

And since I am dyslexic, I really enjoy this book in the wine section:

Where did Bill Nye get his name? From this author?

Then, we had a tasty dinner at Michoacana:

This part of town definitely had a old fashioned vibe to it which was surprising.
