Ice

At least once in a lifetime, you'll come across someone who calls you by a name and you just don't understand the reasoning for it. I am not talking about nicknames that I've discussed before but a name that takes you by surprise; it gets you scratching your head. In some cases, it could be a name that a stranger gives you if they don't know your name; I admit I've done this on numerous occasions (and a few just stuck with them too!). In other situations, a nickname is given to you without your presence; I think this is the spot I'm in.
The past few weeks or so, someone (who will be remain unnamed) called me "Ice"; it caught me completely off-guard. I've had copious amount of nicknames but I've none close to "Ice". So, I made a list of possible explanations for the nickname:
1. No matter what situation I'm in, I stay cool as ice.
2. I'm an ice enthusiast.
3. This person is mocking how annoyed I was last summer because an intern wouldn't stop chomping ice all day.
4. My impressive ability to walk on ice. (Pro Tip: Penguins)
5. How well I drive on ice.
6. I'm as slick as ice.
7. My obsession with smoothies and ICEEs.
8. Maybe the person thinks I have a cold heart?
9. I say "Nice" frequently but that wouldn't make a good nickname.
10. The person sees an odd resemblance to Vanilla Ice in me?
To avoid all the troubles of names, everyone should just wear name tags!
