If you can dodge a wrench...

(Christine Taylor has really skinny legs...)
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. That's the slogan I have been living by the past week to prepare for the Corporate Challenge! Yes, it's finally dodgeball week and I am not prepared at all. I haven't played dodgeball since eighth grade; back then, I was under 5 feet tall and weighing at about 75 pounds. Just look at me, those books were big enough to be a head stand! It was cruel and unusual punishment to make someone my size carry all those huge textbooks around, not to mention my oboe!

While dodging was a skill I was proficient at, humming the ball at someone was not. How can one expect to throw a spherical object that's a quarter size of my body at speeds fast enough not to be caught by kids that are twice my size? It just didn't happen.
Today is my return to the game and I attend to dominate it. Hopefully this will be a TRUE underdog story, over 9 years in the making.
Update to come tonight! GO Raytheon Red!
Update!

I came into the first game scared and anxious with memories of middle school dodgeball. The balls were not the usual kickball-like balls but the rubber ball from Kris Kross last week. After the first match which Raytheon Red won 2-0, my arm felt sore... The third match in the third sport against Raytheon Black was the next match for the Raytheon Red team. The match went into the 3rd game of the best-of-three format, and with the MVP of the day, Big J, leading the way, Raytheon Red won the match.
With that, the Red Team finished strong and went 5-0 for the day! But after the third match, my arm was dead and my throws had no stuff behind it; good thing my teammates were excellent players.
Playoffs are tomorrow! Woot! But the MVP and three other players won't be able to make it; hopefully, the replacements will be able to pick up the missing parts tomorrow. Wish us luck!
