Indifference
The following speech made by Holocaust survivor and Nobel Laureate, Elie Wiesel, has a message we must always remember, but maybe more important in the present time than years previous.
"In a way, to be indifferent to that suffering is what makes the human being inhuman. Indifference, after all, is more dangerous than anger and hatred." -Elie Wiesel
"Indifference is not a beginning, it is an end. And, therefore, indifference is always the friend of the enemy, for it benefits the aggressor -- never his victim, whose pain is magnified when he or she feels forgotten." -Elie Wiesel
For Hamilton fans, you'll recognize this related line:
"If you stand far nothing Burr, what'll you fall for?"
Remember that being indifference is not neutral.
