Inspired Talk
Yesterday, Raytheon had the pleasure to have General Major Nick Justice speak to everyone. To be honest, I was expecting a dull speech that didn't include much information that I didn't know already about mission assurance. Boy was I wrong!
The speech spoke to what I think are some of the most critical aspects to advancing the world we live in.
Integrate, Innovate, Imagine, Inspire (I'm not too confident this was one of the i's, but it seems to what I got out of it)
He emphasized how these basic qualities have impacted the world dramatically. He was extremely interactive and energetic, but it certainly was not fake. He brought two tools, a slide ruler and something similar to an abacus, to demonstrate just how technology has advanced. But to show how fast it has changed, he had the engineers at Raytheon who used the slide ruler raise their hands. It's incredible to be reminded what developments my peers have gone through.
I knew I was going to write this blog post during my travel to Washington DC, so it was quite fortuitous to run into run at Fort Wayne International! As I am writing this, he volunteered to move to the back of the plane in order balance the weight of the plane. While only one action, it's easy to recognize a model citizen when present.
