Is Tennis.

Tennis.
There is no doubt that I love tennis. My first tweet in 2008 was "is tennis."; at that time Twitter didn't really have a defined convention so silly me used it like an Facebook status. Yesterday, I played for only the second time this year but it was perfect weather. Looking at the forecast, I probably won't have an opportunity until Saturday and it's looking to be chilly then too.
The problem about living in a place with a cold winter is the lack of playing time throughout the year. Tennis is an expensive sport even when playing outdoor; which can often lead to some snobby personalities (e.g. "What do you mean you don't use a new can every time you play?", "What hybrid combination of strings do you use?" Me: None...). Court time indoors is pretty expensive and isn't as satisfying; there's no sun and no breeze. The worst part about indoor courts have to be the inhaling of felt/fuzz of the tennis ball. For some strange reason, I had that issue outside yesterday. I definitely had more tennis in me than I expected (literally). Best part about yesterday was beating Marv 6-1! My serve was even better than the end of the summer.
Hopefully I'll get to play more than I last year; younger Matthew TW Huang would have been disheartened if I told him how much I played. If you are (or know someone) in the Fort Wayne area that enjoys playing tennis, let me know! I'm always looking for people to play with; though I'm not great at it. (Self-NTRP Rating: 3.5-4.0. My serve is weak.)
