Jurassic World
Warning: Contains spoilers for Jurassic World.
I went to see Jurassic World last week. As expected, it was a decent movie that didn't live up to the mystic of Jurassic Park. I really appreciated the nod backs that film gave back to Jurassic Park (such as the original park, Jeep, and former characters (like Mr. DNA!)).
After the movie ended, I was left wondering why the story ended so peacefully (sort of). For some odd reason, we want to think that dinosaurs are capable of empathy (like humans). But Velociraptors existed over 71 millions years ago and Tyrannosaurus existed over 66 million years ago (the Jurassic period is 145-201 million years), so we don't know what emotions they were even capable of, if any at all. Personally, it's preposterous to believe of the dinosaurs would leave the scene peacefully one after the other. The Homo genus is only 2.8 millions years old and at least it's hard to believe that every human in this world is capable empathy (haha... kind of).
But you can't expect a historically accurate movie from Jurassic World... The dinosaurs don't even have feathers! It was a enjoyable movie to watch. I feel bad for any dinosaur that's not Tyrannosaurus as the T-Rex is the hero once again...
