Just Right
There are certain things in life that just fit perfectly together. Nike would not be the leader in basketball shoes without Michael Jordan and still the NBA would feel wrong if Adidas wasn't the main sponsor. I feels uncomfortable seeing a Walgreens without seeing a CVS nearby and vice versa. It's like being able to see the blue emergency lights from anywhere on a college campus. No mall should be considered a true mall if it doesn't have an Auntie Anne's. Prize contests wouldn't be the same without the "No Purchase Necessary" statement (they are there to avoid being considered a lottery).
It's the finer things in life that give meaning to it. The New Yorker wouldn't feel Christmas without his tree. I, like many people, wouldn't feel right without seeing my family on Thanksgiving day. Receiving a card from a friend can make the holidays feel complete.
Tis the season for giving. But sometimes I feel more people care about receiving. I guess you can't have one without the other. While random acts of kindness is truly amazing, don't forget to give appreciation to those around you that add meaning to your life (often).
