Kickball Championship.
The first of many playoffs of the Fort Wayne YMCA Corporate Challenge was held today and it was the game of Kickball. The first opponent for the Red Raytheon team was the competitor in the defense industry, BAE. The rivalry was set (not really, they were very friendly) and the game started on the beautiful mostly sunny afternoon. Raytheon came out kicking and won 6-0! It was on to the championship game for Raytheon Red...
As it always does in sports, it got more interesting... The only team in the way of the championship was the Black team from yesterday who beat us 2-3. The Black Team came out kicking and scored 6 in the top of the inning. Raytheon responded right back and scored 8 runs. After a couple quick innings, the Black Team scored 3 more. Raytheon Red once again came short in the fifth and ended with the loss with the score of 9-11. It was a great game though! Second place is okay... Raytheon Red will get them in Cornhole next week with Scott being a key player!
But I'm here to bring exciting news though. I'm not one to celebrate my own accomplishments and such but I love commemorate achievements of others. And one of the most exciting things happened today! Electra hit 10,000 miles! WOOT! I love her!
