Lean on Me
Growing up taking piano lessons, my favorite song to play may have been Bill Withers' "Lean On Me" not only because it was simple to play and anyone could sing along. The song just spoke to me and was so soulful. It was something I could directly relate to unlike the majority of songs about drugs, money, and love.
Lately, I've been listening to soul, R&B, blues, and jazz quite a bit. Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Miles Davis, Van Morrison, and so much more that I can't think of right now. It's just great music to have in the background; focus on it when you want.
Any suggestions for songs I should listen to?
In what song did an artist place the phase "I know" twenty-six times instead of lyrics for a third verse? Hint: A well known song.
