Learning Still
Life never let's anyone stop learning. And with the invention of the Internet some 20 years ago, there is no excuse to not to learn something all the time. Yesterday I learned things about weddings. I guess its etiquette to wear a jacket to a wedding; oops I made that mistake last time. I think it's in my personality to be more casual than most especially at formal events. I'm all about comfort and functionality; blazers and suit jackets just allow any flexibility. I don't think anyone actual looks good in a jacket besides standing around; don't even try to reach to get something in a high place. I also learned how some people feel need to give gifts nice and prettied up; I guess it's all about the little things.
But one of the most valuable sources of information I have must be my membership to IEEE. While I may be able to get most of the information through free sources of the Internet, IEEE behaves as an awesome filter and often explains topics in a concise manner. And with the daily emails, it's extremely convenient and I can easily read an article while waiting for my computer to start up or something similar. IEEE is definitely worth the money I pay.
And for my tennis fanatics, the USTA membership is quite good with a weekly online magazine and monthly Tennis magazine mailed. I may have to try some of the crazy drills, maybe I'll actually get better...
It doesn't matter how long you are, you can never stop learning. Life will destroy you if you do stop.
