Lenovomotorola?
Remembering owner of Motorola Mobility seems to be more confusing than the retirement account that Obama tried to announce last night during the State of the Union (I can't believe it's My RA and not My IRA which POTUS tried to say)
Google just announced that they sold Motorola Mobility to Lenovo for just under $3 billion. Just under two years ago, Google brought the company they just sold for the much higher price of $13 billion. Maybe the Google purchase was just for the ammunition for the patent war. You may not be aware that Lenovo already produces Android phone as they haven't the mainstream US market as of the current time. This will surely change with the purchase of Motorola. Lenovo phones use Intel processors! Maybe we'll see those soon! It'll be interesting how Lenovo transitions with their new asset. Will they rebrand Motorola phones just let did with IBM Thinkpads? Will we see the Lenovo X, Leno X, or Lenovo Droid?!
Which company is next in line for next Google Nexus device? At least this deal will ease Google's dilemma of giving certain companies special treatment for Android.
